How many beans make 1½?

by 3arn0wl

How time flies!  It’s already Georgia, Lucida and Perpetua’s ½ birthday,  and although the girls won’t remember it,  Crystal and Norman are keen to mark the date.  They’ve invited some of their friends around for a Barbie.   The Ties are there of course, and the Youspell-Thats.  Emily and Alistair came,  as well as a smattering of doting relatives bearing gifts.

Unfortunately however, the weather put a bit of a dampener on the al fresco festivities, but the guests still entered into the spirit of the occasion and joined in the party games:

  • Postman’s knock;
  • Pass the parcel and
  • Pin the tail on the donkey. :/

Blessings

by 3arn0wl

Georgia, Lucida and Perpetua – the triplets born on Christmas day – were christened in a small, private service at the Minster church of St. Nicholas earlier today. Delighted parents, Crystal and Norman Font, were keen to give thanks for the safe arrival of their three darling daughters, who were long wished for.

Curate, Christine Tenning, had some initial concerns about identifying the identical infants,  until the parents confided that the children had been dressed in colour coded gowns for the occasion.

The trio made quite an impression during the short service: Georgia slept, Lucida wept, and Perpetua smiled seraphically!

Four unto us…

by 3arn0wl

Earlier this morning a boy was born at the Cottage Hospital in Poppleton. The couple were sojourning in Poppleton when the girlfriend went into labour.  Mother and child are said to be doing very well.

And a set of triplets has been born to a woman in Chorley.  Apparently the woman has her hands full, because the triplets are lively,  but the parents,  according to Noel Tallhave been wanting children for a long time, and are jubilant.
