Norm & the Social Climbers

by 3arn0wl

Norm-ally it’s a solitary thing. You choose your building, and go for it.  But in Poppleton there’s a group of social climbers,  led by social Norm,  who met in crepuscular light on the fortieth day of Easter, to scale the towers of St. Nick’s.

They’d walked around the church several times to determine the best way up, and equipped only with a torch,  ascended the Minster as the sun came up.  Once there, they unfurled a banner between the towers.

But how to get down?  Usually they abseiled,  but they didn’t want to damage the building, so they parachuted to the ground using the Dean’s vestments!

Afterwards they went for a coffee and a raisin cookie @ Dailey Bread.
