Dance of the couples

Perhaps Antonín had been a bit overenthusiastic.

He knew the science of the aurora borealis of course. He’d seen pictures on the net. But he’d never been far enough North for there to be even the slightest possibility of actually seeing it for himself.

News of a huge solar flare had been all over the media, and the disruption it might cause – power cuts, the net going down, and most spectacularly of all, the night sky dancing with reds and greens and blues and purples.

And so he and Michelle went down to Lower Snodding, set up the tripod and camera in the meadow overlooking the Bredy, and waited for the show.  What he saw was a beautiful silver-blue sky, and a full moon. 😉
